WHAT WE DO
Since Rocket Scenery Ltd was first launched in 1999, we’ve developed a reputation for high-quality, beautifully finished theatre scenery. Based near the city centre of Nottingham, our 2475 sq metres of workshops have seen the creation of sets for theatres up and down the UK and overseas.
We aim to make every production design and build period as stress-free as we can. We employ a team of experienced draughtsmen, metalworkers, scenic carpenters and scenic artists dedicated to achieving the most exacting of design demands.
CAD DRAWING
Our draughtsman work with designers and production managers to realise designs and resolve staging challenges.
METAL SHOP
With more and more scenery being made from steel and aluminium, Rocket Scenery have an expanded metal shop to facilitate the construction of accurate, robust scenic elements.
WOOD SHOP
Whether making traditional flattage, carving sculptural elements or using non-conventional materials our team of scenic carpenters work with accuracy to realise the designer’s vision.
PAINT SHOP
Equipped with paint frame and two dedicated paint areas, our highly skilled scenic artists collaborate with the designers to create beautifully finished work.
FIT-UPS
Crunch time! We understand the importance of a smooth and on schedule fit up period and work with production managers to bring the show to opening night.
TOURING GOODS
Rocket’s service and commitment does not stop when the scenery leaves the workshops. We can supply a range of touring goods to support shows as they travel the world…
